Hello, all!

CASI will be having an informal gathering this Saturday at Cliff
Nelson's house in Chapel Hill at 3pm (providing that's still OK with
you, Cliff).
We will go over various ideas to get this year in gear for severe
weather.
Cliff lives in at 64 Davie Circle; his phone number is 967-1785. Cliff,
if you want to post more specific directions to the List feel free.

If there is a great chance of severe weather during the day on Saturday
(yeah right) we could delay, though this is unlikely.

Come as you are. If you have any personal storm photos, videos, etc.
bring them along. I believe Cliff will be showing us some of his. I
realize that Chapel Hill is a long way from many of you but we do hope
you will be able to make it.

Welcome to the following new members of CASI:

Larry Livingston, Mike Askew, Larry Wright, Scott McIntosh, Jodi
Fitzhugh, Brody Clifton, and the Capital Area YMCA.

Mike Dross of Dukepower has been nice enough to donate weather and
radar data from Hurricane Fran, which I was much lacking since the
power was out from 6pm the night of the storm until 2 days later. I'll
be going through this and posting some to the website soon.

New on the CASI Web Site:

Weather Cams Page - which has an imagemap of all weather cams in the SE
US. Please let me know if you know of any others.

News from the NC Storm Chasers: They have gone international, with a
new web site at http://www.cybercity.hko.net/Atlanta/ncsc/ . They are
soliciting orders for t-shirts at this time, and need our support to get
enough orders to have the project go through. The specifics are:

"We still need about 5 more orders for t shirts before we can afford to
pay our printing bill that is required with the order. We hate to ask
for money up front, but we are self funding everything and cant do any
better at this time. Sorry for the difficulty!! The cost is $17 each &
that includes shipping. The shirts will all be printed on a larger size
to make it easier and allow for any shrinkage. Just let us know if you
or any other weather or storm chasing enthusiast would like to add one
to
your collection. As soon as we get enough orders, they will be on the
way
to the printers!!"

See their website or contact Brian Voncannon for more info
(zero-cool{at}bigfoot.com).
