QUOTES:

"South Florida endured another day of volatile weather Saturday as the
National Weather Service issued tornado warnings in Palm Beach and Broward
counties -- but it was lightning that was lethal, killing a Delray Beach
man and destroying a Lake Park house, killing two cats inside.

Water spouts also were reported over the ocean Saturday morning, although
they dissipated quickly.

Turbulent weather continued into the night, with rain and lightning
battering both Palm Beach and Broward counties. From 6:46 p.m. to 8:25
p.m., the Sawgrass Expressway in Broward County was closed in both
directions south of Commercial Boulevard because of downed power lines."
