"HOPE MILLS, N.C. -- Flooding problems continue as a second dam burst near
the Cumberland-Hoke county line Tuesday morning.

Pressure on the dams started when 6 to 8 inches of rain fell in the area
during the 24-hour period starting Sunday night, said Scott Sharp of the
National Weather Service office in Raleigh. Another 1-1/4 inches fell in
the past 24 hours."
