The dryest August on record for Caribou, Maine occured this year. Only 0.55"
of rain was measured at Caribou Municipal Airport for the entire month. The
previous record was set in 1957 when 0.93" of precipitation was measured.
The wettest August was in 1981 when 12.09" of precipitation fell.
