Residents of Anchorage, Alaska are digging out after a
late winter storm dumped a record 25.7" of snow in
one 24 hour period. The surprise snow eclipsed the
old record of 15.6" set way back in 1955. The storm
shut down schools, cancelled dozens of flights and
left hundreds of motorists stranded on local roadways.
