Warm, moist air rolling off the Gulf Coast brought
heavy rains to North Texas overnight, saturating some
areas with as much as 5 inches of rain and threatening
other areas with flash flood watches.
A band of rain 35 miles southwest of Mineral Wells, up
to Decatur and then 20 miles north of Sherman brought
3 to 5 inches of rain, said Jesse Moore, a National
Weather Service meteorologist.
