Winchester (nw) VA
These clouds were low in the southern horizon before dusk Fri evening.
Later the clouds covered the sky.

Earlier in the week, it was forecast that Helene's remnants would trek
in the same general trek that Gordon's remnants did a few days before.
However, the trek was much further S & E, and most of VA was spared
measurable rain. There were sprinkles here about 7am Sat, enough to
label a trace. Radar estimates about 1" fell in the area of Suffolk
[west of Norfolk], and 1-3" in some portions of NE NC.
Clouds from what once Helene left my location before noon Sat. The sky
was 70 - 95% clear during the afternoon. Low clouds, in advance of a
strong front, moved back in Sat evening.

Heavy thunderstorms formed in the midwest again Sat. The exhaust of the
storms moved in late Sat eve. Lighter showers & t-storms are due here
later today.
With the abundance of afternoon sun, temps just nudged 80. And the
evening overcast, has capped the temperatures about 68. Along w/ 90%
humidity, it feels a tad muggy tonight.
