For Saturday, September 23, 2000
Hot and sultry weather continued today over most of Texas with record
high and record high minimum temperatures being set in seven Texas
cities. The low temperature at my station in Temple, Texas (60 miles
North of Austin) was 81.0 degrees. This is the third warmest minimum
temperature in the 10 year history of my station behind the 81.8
degrees of July 13, 1998 and the 81.7 degrees of June 18, 1998. A cold
front is supposed to move through the area by sunrise Sunday morning
and bring some welcomed relief.
