Severe Thunderstorms - NC/VA Supercells
May 1, 1997

A few Severe Thunderstorms developed on a frontal boundary in Eastern North Carolina on the afternoon of May 1, 1997. One storm in VA reported Hail of 2.5" and the early storm in NC was declared a Supercell by the NWS. CASI was there for an LSI in Raleigh, another in Apex, and a followup PSI in Wilson, NC.
