OK, I have to admit that I stole this idea from Browserwatch, but darnit, he came up with a good idea. Why surf 24 hours a day by yourself when you can tap into the wealth of knowledge of fellow web surfers. The rules are thus: You find a NEW or IMPROVED/UPDATED RECENTLY page, you tell me. If you make it past the WX4CASTR Gestapo (that's me) then you can display the icon on your home page and point to my New Sites page. What I do want: New weather companies on the 'net, new University endeavours into the online weather extravaganza, recently updated pages that provide new and exciting content that will be of use to meteorological enthusiasts across the 'net. What I *don't* need: Personal pages with no original data (i.e. just links to elsewhere), sites we already know about (i.e.: Intellicast) unless they've come up with something really neat. I don't want to sound like the Gestapo here, but I don't want to have my email-box full of stuff that we don't need. Anyway, try me. If I get desperate I'll take anything.
The story behind the picture: Yes, that's my current NC license plate. I got it years ago when I thought that I would actually get a job in meteorology one day, before the government got cut and private companies got competitive. Anyway, I still have it, in the hopes of eventually finding a job in the field. Meantime, it gets a lot of comments from gas-station attendants and the like and always gets itself in a picture when I'm in severe weather. See also the Carolina Area Storm Investigators page for more information about my car and its travels through severe weather.
