Thomas Dolby
There are a couple of musical artists whom I believe show
by their music that they "really understand what is going on." Thomas Dolby
is one of these.
Not only did his 80's work typify the decade, but he never
slowed down and continued to produce pop into the 90's. His songs use samples,
classic instuments, and rythm to explain deep emotions, and do it very
well. The song "I Love You Goodbye" has also made it into my 'Top Ten Songs'
category. It's not just music he does, he has his hands into all kinds
of Science, as is shown by a recent article
in Wired Magazine.
