Here at HQ we have snow falling, and looks to be somewhere between 3-7"
on the ground, can't tell from inside due to all the blowing snow.
Currently 28 degrees, wind at 10 gusting to 27. Pressure was down to
29.07" last night! That is probably my lowest pressure that I have ever
recorded here...
>From Member Mark T. last night: "over here in Wilmington De. barometer
is down to 29.22 with some gusty
thunderstorms...front will pass thru real soon cutting off the severe
weather but winds will persist"
METAR from Jefferson NC indicates rough weather:
KGEV 032355Z AUTO 28041G57KT 1/2SM SN OVC007 M03/M05 A2942 RMK AO2
=Snow, wind 46mph Gusting to 66mph, 27 degrees. This was at about 7pm
last night. This morning Jefferson still reports snow with 19 degrees,
wind in the 20-40mph range.
>From Shane, high winds in GA:
"Well, if you got my last report of the top wind speed being 43 mph,
scratch that...I just recored my all time high wind speed of 51 mph from
the
WNW!!! I thought the house was falling down when that thing hit!! I
would hate to be in a Hurricane. http://www.stc.net/~cyclone/p2kdata.htm
Shane Adams
Tallulah Falls Georgia"
Dr. Dave Walker reported "~3.0" of snow at 2000 feet in Richland
township in
Johnstown, PA since about 7:30 PM this EVE 3/3/99.." at about 11pm last
night, he is sure to have more this morning.
