Hi everyone!
The Next Meeting of the UNCA Branch of the American Meteorological Society
will meet this Thursday, the 10th, at 7:00 p.m. in Robinson Hall 125, the
Physics Lecture Hall.
Our featured speaker will be Bryan Farr, who will speak about the
Hurricane Season of 1998. He will discuss the season as a whole with
in-depth analysis of the main events of the Hurricane Season.
Also, we will be discussing the following possibilities and opportunities
we will have as UNCA AMS:
The Spring Break Trip
Co-Sponsorship of Hurricane Mitch Relief Campaign
New Business or anything that has not been addressed so far this year.
Also, we would like to encourage you to help out with Super Saturday next
semester. It is a great opportunity if you want to gain some teaching
experience, and would like to enhance your knowledge of weather and
teaching kids the weather at the same time. We have about six people
volunteering so far. We need a total of 12 people so that we can give
everyone an opportunity to help out with this worthwhile cause. E-mail

more information. Super Saturday will take place in February and March.
If you have any questions about anything dealing with AMS or you would
like to make any suggestions that you would like for us to consider for
