This is from Powell Way, a little humour to brighten up a cold winter
evening. This is in response to the website on "Supercell Deprivation
Syndrome" (http://home1.gte.net/txt/SDS.htm) and pertinent discussions
on the wx-chase newsgroup.

OK, all, here we go again. Being bored I was thinking of some SDS
notes. So without any more delay:

Here's more SDS goodies:

You move your Post Office box to a town named Gilbert so your mail
will REALLY go to the Gilbert Zone ! [PSST! It's PO Box 46 Gilbert SC
29054] [Eat your heart out Allan Rosenberg]

You practice your video narrations in front of DR PEPPER machines...

You find someone [Tom] who has a new Canon XL1 digital camera, and
beg him to be your chase partner! [Eat your heart out Carson
Eads...PSST $4800]

You fill your blender with water and run it on max...and watch the
vortex...

You modify the aeriator on your aquarium to simulate a tornado....

You slow down at EVERY used car lot to see if they have any
Meatwagons for sale....

For us SE and CASI members....you call long distance to the Flying
Burrito in Chapel Hill, NC to check their menu.... [PSST!! Cliff...is
this any good??]

You go to an area that was [can't do this on the high
plains...neeer-neener] was HEAVILY forested and just recently had
all the trees knocked down for a new construction. It must look like
a storm went through and you practice giving a storm / damage report.

When riding down I-20, heading home after an good meal at the 44
truck stop at Gilbert SC...AND talking on the 145.430 Gilbert SC..in
the fog and rain. You see the flashes from a cell site and EXCITEDLY
exclaim CG! CG!!!

[I SWEAR it was a SUPERcell site....]

You get to be a net control for the CARC (Columbia Amateur Radio
Club) Wednesday night net...and run it from the NWS office at the
radio desk for Skywarn to simulate severe weather....
