Well, the Carolina area is certainly receiving all the attention this
year with tomorrow likely to bring the formation of the third tropical
system off the Carolina coast. Bill is but a memory and the suspicious
low-pressure system off our coast will be visited by a recon plane
tomorrow and has a good chance of becoming Claudette.
No more "work" for me this month; I quit the old job Friday. I will be
in PA looking for a house Monday through Thursday so the pages will not
be updated and the CASILIST postings won't get through during that time.
Sorry for the inconvenience. When I revamp the site, the name, and the
group in late August I will endeavour to make the Mailing List
automatic.
BTW, finally got an official estimate of the snow in State College --
normal seasonal is 46", max season was 109", min. season was 16". So
even if it's the least snowy season ever I'll be getting more snow than
has been seen here in Raleigh in at least 5 years. ;)
I received an e-mail today from the esteemed Greg Fishel (Head Met. at
WRAL-TV Raleigh) wishing me good luck. He used to live in State
College, went to PSU, and says that the VP of AccuWeather is his idol.
This was apparently a present from one of my co-workers at Captiol
Broadcasting because although Mr. Fishel and I work in the same company
I had never met him officially.

That's all for now. Keep an eye on the sky.
