Well, yesterday was an exciting day to say the least. I set out on an
LSI towards the coast last night, only to find that new storms were
knocking on the door of HQ by the time I got back. An antenna at my
workplace was hit by lightning, hail covered the ground in places in
Raleigh, and baseball-sized hail was reported with a storm west of
Greenville, SC. The main system brought more heavy thunderstorms to the
Triangle at 3am.

Today it's all south of the front. Powell, this one's yours. SC will
have the brunt of the severe weather this evening. Later tonight the
next system moves through, bringing rain and thunderstorms to the
Carolinas. If the front lifts far enough north the Triangle could see
severe weather again but today's stable air (and cold temps!) are
working against it.

Don't forget that "Tornado!", the low-budget precursor to the movie
"Twister" is on FOX tonight at 8pm.

If the severe weather holds off tonight I may be able to get up some
video captures of my travels last night.
