Howdy all:

Did anyone get the details of the storms up in North Carolina.

About 1:15 PM while at State Surplus helping a friend get a desk and
some other stuff, I noticed CB's exploding upward. The clouds didn't
tarry long but went off northeast. I got sorta distracted when the
end of the desk fell OFF the loading dock ( they weren't paying
attention to what they were doing) and I didn't get my arm out of the
way in time. Actually my reflexes kept me from getting my hand and
and arm broken badly, so I ended up with bruises. It really didn't
hurt, just got numb, and I thought I was going to throw up. I was
still watching the CB's develop....]:)

We did get a short shower. I was showing a friend Wedgefest 95 ( he
has a BIG sound system....) and I heard BOOM, and he said OH that one
is OUTSIDE....as short shower. I may end up being net control for
skywarn here, as I live closest to the forecast office. I got me a
couple new skywarn stickers..and JESSE.....Steve handed me a sheet of
paper, (and watching my reaction as I saw what it was...) and said "
I promised to give you this.." It was the doppler image of the
August 16, 1994 tornado that did millions of damage in Lexington SC.
This tornado was UNDER 10 miles from the doppler radar at the time of
this image.....WOW!!

Looks like some more strong storms moving into upstate SC as I type
and some more in central Georgia....I may get a call at any time. I
guess this will be baptism by fire...
