Mohammad Shacker's email dated Aug 11, 2005, with the Subject of "Severe
Dust/Sand Storms in the Middle East", the website that he lists does not
work and defaults to his website host company's page. This page asks you
to download and install an Active-X control to "see the website." If you
do this, it will result in a program, which may be tbe Downloader Trojan
spyware program, being installed on your computer, according to some of our
readers.

I have removed the link from our website but it remains on YahooGroups.

I apologize for the inconvenience. I am unable to personally review each
post to our website or email to this list due to time constraints. If you
believe you have installed the item from that website, run a tool such as
Norton Antivirus or AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/)
to remove it from your computer.

This might be a good reminder to run Norton, AdAware or a similar tool
anyway... most versions of Internet Explorer in the original version of
Windows XP allowed anyone on the Internet to install any program that they
pleased on your computer. This was corrected in later versions of Windows
XP. Always keep your computer up to date with the latest versions of
Windows XP if you have that operating system.
