CW2689 is located in “The Great Outdoors RV & Golf Resort: some two miles
east of I95 at exit 215 outside of Titusville, Florida. The weather can
vary and does from the rest of Brevard County Florida to some degree. The
TGO with some 1,300 property owners nestled in over 1,000 acres land
surround on three sides by the St. Johns River and estuary. Being
surrounded by large marshes, large mass of shallow slow moving water can
affect all measurable weather characteristics to some degree. The marshes
and the river stretch nearly five or more miles before you reach habitual
land from the South, West or the Northwest The St. Johns River is one of
the few rivers in North America that flow Northward.

It should also be noted that rain fall can and does vary widely in Brevard
County. Several stations are reporting 15” or more inches of rain in the
T’ville area. Further south, in Palm Bay, they’re reporting 20” plus of
rain. All probably correct. Several times this week I drove through down
pours that lasted 20 to45 minutes. Driving was so bad that it was difficult
to see. On checking my equipment I’ve found that the measurable rain was
less than .01” of rain. I’ve also left the house in the middle of a downpour
that later measured over 1” to find it dry and the sun shining brightly at
the gate a little over a mile away.

For those of you suffering drought conditions in the central East Coast,
I’ll see if we can send you up about half of our rain days for the month of
July ’05!
