HEADLINES:
Arlene Remnants May Bring Heavy Rains To Lower Great Lakes, Northeast, But
Upper Midwest Storm Is The Major Concern With Severe Weather, Cloudbursts From
Mississippi Valley Into Atlantic Coastal Plain Over The Next 72 Hours
EXPECTED NORTH AMERICA SEVERE OR EXTREME WEATHER NEXT 24 HOURS:
quadrant. Consult the SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK below for states involved in
intense convection today. This disturbance will continue to hammer the Great Lakes
and Corn Belt before turning its wrath on the Mid-Atlantic and New England
states by Day 3 (remember that Arlene-related trailing front....).
Most of Dixie will swelter under a very humid tropical air mass, and the
Desert Regions should see the usual display of hot and dry conditions during the
near term. A vigorous storm complex from the Gulf of Alaska, however, is set to
shake up the pacific Northwest and northern Rocky Mountains. Hail and
downburst winds will rip AB this afternoon and evening, while a chill, raw blanket of
mP values infiltrates the immediate West Coast between now and Wednesday.
