The state of Florida is in day 2 of a barrage of large hail storms, thanks
to mid level temperatures of -12 to -14 deg. C.

Numerous reports of quarter (1.25" dia.) to golf ball (1.75" dia.) size hail
occurred over the south central peninsula yesterday. There were also several
reports of tennis ball (2.50" dia.) to baseball (2.75" dia.) size hail
too!!! 2.50" hail in Florida is fairly rare.

Today reports of quarter (1.25" dia.) to golf ball (1.75" dia.) size hail
are being reported through early afternoon over the central and north
central peninsula.

Needless to say hail stones this size are a danger to crops, animals,
humans, cars, skylights, awnings, etc.
