"A restaurateur says he is disappointed looters struck just hours after
Cyclone Meena hit the Cook Islands on Sunday.

Meena hit the Cook Islands with heavy seas and winds gusting up to 245kmh.

But damage was not as bad as had been feared before the storm because the
cyclone turned away hours before it would have struck with full force.

The island of Rarotonga and its main centre Avarua felt the worst of the
storm, with the sea battering coastal property."
