Wednesday, a moderate tropical cyclone is over the South Pacific
Ocean. Wednesday morning, EST, the storm is about 465 miles northeast
of Bauerfield, Efate Island, Vanuatu. The cyclone is headed towards

degrees.

to 65 mph raked Keflavik, and on the island of Heimaey, highest winds
were between 80 and 85 mph.

week. La Rioja, for example, peaked at 108 and 110 degrees,

Wednesday. For sake of comparison, the average daily high in January
is 94.
On Indonesia's island of Java, rainfall was 6.5 inches within 36
hours as of Wednesday evening, local time, at Cilacap.
