Tropical Cyclone Arola weakened a bit over the South Indian Ocean
Torrential rains swamped eastern Costa Rica early this week.

Wednesday. As of early Wednesday evening, EST, Arola was located 275
miles south-southeast of Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean
Territory. Packing highest sustained winds of 65 mph, Arola was moving
slowly west-southwestward at 5 mph. Arola is expected to maintain a
track over open waters and continue to weaken over the next few days.
Puerto Limon picked up 15.9 inches of rain -- the average monthly
rainfall for November -- in less than 2 days as of Wednesday evening.
