[STORMREPORTS] Ground Zero Charley Weather Observations
At 3:00 pm EDT my current B.P. is 29.88" and falling, from 30.00" at midnight. Wind is SSW at 13G23.
I do have a CWOP station #CW2111 on the Internet at http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/wx.cgi?call=CW2111 . I will also be relaying live reports to the NHC/TPC via amateur radio on 14325.00 kc. Anyone else with a weather station and HF amateur radio station in the forecasted path of Charley, should register with the NHC on 14325.00 kc, so as to send live weather reports.
Unless something changes with Hurricane Charley's forecasted track, here in suburban SW Plant City 15 miles east of Tampa Bay I should be at ground zero and won't need to go storm chasing. Tampa Bay is facing unprecedented urban destruction with a predicted 14 foot storm surge.
