In the rest of the Guadalajara metro area, saw only periods of heavy rain from one hour duration of a thunderstorm.

A freak hailstorm hit the northern part of the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, Jalisco, México, last sunday afternoon.
The main "colonias" affected after the hail are El Retiro, Alcalde Barranquitas, La perla, Independencia and the El Mirador.

Guadalajara, México (9th august 2004). "The neighbors of the Private Cotopaxi and Rogelio Bacon private street, in the Colonia Independencia Poniente, saw how their houses and streets became the "Arctic tapatío", since the hail reached an approximated height of a meter in that zone.",
