Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the wind tunnel of the mid Atlantic.
Not much of a storm with just 0.06 of an inch of rain falling from the sky but
at 3:47 PM (Saturday) the wind gusted out of the NNW at 50 mph. Another small
but powerful looking cell is moving across the valley floor towards my
homestead in the hills. I guess I will wait to see if it holds together to visit me.
On the cicada front, not a single one to report. I guess the dreaded mountain
camels ate them all. Until later................
Jim
My friend Mac placed some storm photos I took of my homestead in the hills on
his observer page. He also runs a weather station out of Smithsburg. There
are four photos of the land around my wind sock in the hills.
www.smithsburgweather.net Go figure, they can't build a fast food joint in the town but you
can't throw a stick without hitting a weather observer. Until later......
