Now Tropical Storm Juba was in the southern Indian Ocean continues
to slowly die off early Friday morning EDT. The center of Juba was
located near 15.5 south, 67.9 east or about 780 miles east-northeast
of Mauritius. Maximum sustained winds were down to 65 mph continues to
slowly move south-southeast at 7 mph. As the storm continues
southward, the increased shear will continue to effect the storm and
bring its slow demise over the weekend. The storm will continue to be
over open water and bring no threat to land.

Tropical Storm Nida continues to take shape over the southwest
Pacific Ocean Friday morning. This storm has grown quickly over the
past 24 hours as the storm has quickly deepened over the waters
between Yap and the southern Phillipine Islands. The storm currently
has nearly 70 mph winds with gusts to over 85 mph. This storm in the
Phillipines is named "Dindo", and with its slow northwestward movement
at 5 mph, this storm will continue to move closer to the Phillipines.
The storm is located 810 miles southeast of Manila, and with the track
continuing to the northwest and a rapid intensification, the storm may
make landfall in the Phillipines as a very strong typhoon.

A third tropical disturbance over the South China Sea was showing
signs of organization Friday morning. This feature was over warm water
and has a good chance of developing into a depression over the next
12-24 hours. As the storm continues to spin up at the lower levels,
upper level winds remain weak, providing a good chance of development
into a tropical storm or even stronger.

Heavy rainfall continues over much of central and eastern China as
storm moves eastward. Rainfall amounts ending early Friday across the
region continue to average close to one inch. In Yang-Chiang, China,
rainfall over the past 36 hours was over 7.2 inches total, while
Kuang-Chou, China, saw over 6.1 inches of rainfall. Most of these
heavy rainfall were due to scattered, slow moving thunderstorms.
