"MOSCOW, April 2 (Itar-Tass) - A flood has inundated 381 houses where 1,221
people reside in Russia's Central and Volga-Ural regions.
Two hundreds and fifty people are evacuated from there, the Emergencies
Ministry's information department told Itar-Tass on Friday.
The flood situation is tense in the Bryansk region.
The Desna and Bolva Rivers are 97-138 centimetres higher than the critical
mark.
Overflowing water flooded 332 houses of 962 people in the Bezhitsky and
Bryansk regions.
Several houses are inundated in the village of Maksatikha in the Tver
region, but the people do not leave their homes so far.
An ice jam has blocked the Bersuat River in the Chelyabinsk region. The
water flooded basements in 47 residential buildings in the settlement of
Naslednitsky. The residents had to leave their homes and live now at their
relatives' and friends' places.
In the Rostov region, the ground waters rose five centimetres higher than
the ground surface. The water inundated about 4,000 farm fields. The damage
is preliminary estimated at 50 million roubles, the Emergencies Ministry
