"After snow, frigid air grips area
One death, many injuries reported from cold; accumulation of 10 inches
snarls Metro roads
Bitterly cold temperatures are next for Metro Detroiters who were battered
Wednesday by a winter storm that dumped more than 10 inches of snow on the
area and apparently led to at least one death.
Temperatures are expected to peak around 15 degrees today and then drop to
around zero this evening, weather forecasters said. Temperatures that low
can cause frostbite.
The deep freeze follows a fast-moving snowstorm that snarled traffic
Wednesday, forced some people to alter their plans for the day."
