It started snowing here in central NJ at about 7:10PM EST. So far only a
trace has fallen. The strange thing observed here is the relative
humidity. I think this is the first time I have seen precipitation with a
RH of only 44%. The air temp was 14F with a dew point of -4F. Having
grown up in NJ and studied weather for about 25 years, I have never
observed precip. at such a low RH.
Now at 8:00PM our RH is up to 74% with a dew point of +7F and the same air
temp. Still dry. Expecting 3-6" of powder overnight. Maybe it will all
blow off the roads :-)
