QUOTES:

"More rain is expected for tonight and into the first day of 2004, but not
as much of that punishing wind that hit the area Monday and damaged two
movie theaters.

"This storm should bring about a half-inch of rain or three-quarters at the
outside," Noxon said. 'Winds should not be as strong as those on Monday,
which caused a lot of damage.

Lisa Randle, spokeswoman for Pacific Gas & Electric Co., said most of the
11,000 businesses and homes that lost electricity Monday because of the
storm were brought back on line by Tuesday morning.

Heavy rain caused at least $2,500 damage at the Sutter Theater, 754 Plumas
St., Yuba City, said manager Doug Harriman.

High winds ripped up an aluminum awning Monday morning at the Marysville
Drive-in Theater on Erle Road, near Highway 70, in Olivehurst."
