Date: Tue Dec 09 2003 - 19:19:44 EST

Winchester VA

A moderate earthquake of 4.5 shook a large portion of VA at 4pm Tuesday.
Many people in the Harrisionburg (western VA) Lynchburg (southern VA) &
Washington DC also felt it. The quake was centered west of Richmond in
an area that tends to get more than other parts of VA or nearby
states.

I was on my bicycle leaving working at the time, & did not feel it, nor
did my mom or a neighbor.
On the "Did You Feel It?" map, there were 5 reports from my county, but
not inside the city limits.
