It's been a weird day so far in West-Central NJ. Snow started about 7:15
AM. Moderate at the start with the temperature about 30F. Temps rose to
about 33F and the first accumulation was melting with snow getting
lighter. Then, at about 10:15 AM, the snow starting falling at the rate
of 2"/hr. Evaporational cooling seemed to take over versus the NE winds
off the warm Atlantic, and the temp. dropped to 28F.

As I finally get to send this email (thanks to my 19-month-old son), we
have passed through two more cycles of light-heavy snow. We now have about
6" on the ground and the forecast has changed to a possible 14" by tomorrow
afternoon.
