[STORMREPORTS] Swirls in the eye of Hurricane Isabel

From: Jesse Ferrell (WeatherMatrix) (jesse{at}weathermatrix.net)

This satellite animation offers an excellent glimpse into the multiples
swirls occurring in Hurricane Isabel's eye. Can anyone comment on what
these are? They are weak, low (do not show up on IR) cloud swirls. Is
this caused by her strength or lack of it? Is this abnormal or is this
just the first time we've gotten high res enough imagery of a major
hurricane to see it?
