Flooding is the big weather story on the news today; FoxNews ran a
15-minute segment this morning on current weather stories, most of it was
flooding... in Texas, Kansas, China...

Flood watches stretch in a band from the Texas Gulf Coast to eastern
Pennsylvania this morning...

The 24-hour Doppler-estimated precip map shows more than 2" of rain
stretching from the Texas Coast through New England... with areas over 4"
and up to 12" in Texas and eastern Kansas through Indianapolis.

NWS local storm totals showing over 6" in central Indiana in the last day
and a half.

 From the Weather Channel:

"Flood watches continue to be widespread over much of Texas, Oklahoma,
eastern Kansas, most of Missouri and southern Illinois this afternoon.
Eastern Kentucky and a small portion of northwest Arkansas also remain
under flood watches. Kansas City, Mo., and its surrounding suburbs have
been inundated by over seven and a half inches of rainfall since yesterday.
Locally heavy rains continue to pound down this afternoon near and north of
a stalled front that stretches from central Texas to southeast Kansas and
from there eastward into Kentucky. Farther south, downpours from weakening
Tropical Depression Grace are still drenching southeastern Texas where over
four inches of rain have soaked Beaumont. "
