A flash flood described as the 2nd 100 year flood since 1999 hit parts
of Las Vegas & the neighboring desert Tuesday evening.
About 3" of rain fell in under 90 minutes. In a few locations, 2.8" fell
in 20 minutes! Las Vegas averages just 1/2" of rain in Aug.
Many aerial rescues were undertaken, including 1 to a group of 4
firefighters whose truck was engulfed.
Local tv stations were showing many of the rescues live, and TWC had
live & tape delay scenes Tue evening. Some made it other local tv
stations nationwide.
I made a short album of vidcaps from what was available locally. I
normally will give credit to the image's source. But most of the images
i had from Wed did not have a local station identifier, so credited the
station where i got the image from.
