Yesterday in Jackson, MN a new record heat index was set at 125 deg. F. The air temp reached 100.4 deg F and the dewpoint reached 84.2 deg. F. I don't have the record books handy but this has got to be the hotest it's ever been in Minnesota. Jackson is in southern Minnesota near the Iowa border. This info can be verified at this link: http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KMJQ/2003/8/17/DailyHistory.html.

Today we are at a heat index of 107 deg. F in Jordan, MN with a air temp. of 95 deg. F and a dew point of 75 deg. F as reported by MyCast weather service as of 5pm.
