MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- At least two tornadoes reportedly touched down in
Shelby County Friday night, but no damage was reported from the twisters,
authorities said.

Early reports of damage from thunderstorms were minimal throughout the
state. Power lines and trees were reported down in Calhoun, Cherokee and
Hale Counties and several counties reported hail damage to vehicles.

Several funnel clouds were spotted in Calhoun County, but there were no
reports of touchdowns, said David Ford, public information officer for the
Calhoun County EMA.
