"Storms rolling out of the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday deluged southwest
Alabama into the evening, dropping hail and causing street flooding,
according to weather officials. One storm crossing Mobile County early
Wednesday evening produced rainfall rates of nearly 2 inches an hour,
prompting a flash flood warning and an urban and small stream flood advisory.

The storms pelted the region with small hail, according to officials at the
National Weather Service in Mobile. The office also received reports of
flooding... Weather officials received a report of a roof collapse at a
Burger King restaurant in Semmes, but it was unclear whether the storms
played a role in the damage, according to a spokesman with the weather
office. "
