[STORMREPORTS] Florida Tornado (Citrus Co.)

            A STORM SURVEY WAS COMPLETED BY THE CITRUS COUNTY
             EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. PICTURES...INTERVIEWS...AND DAMAGE
             PATTERNS INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WIND GUST OF
             70 MPH. DAMAGE OCCURRED FROM 7 MILES NORTH TO 10 MILES
             NORTHEAST OF CRYSTAL RIVER AND WAS 1 TO 2 MILES WIDE.
             MOST OF THE DAMAGE OCCURRED TO MOBILE HOMES. SEVEN HOMES
             WERE DESTROYED...SEVEN HAD MAJOR DAMAGE...AND 33 HOMES
             HAD MINOR DAMAGE. MOST OF THE REPORTED DAMAGE INCLUDED
             TREES ON HOMES...DAMAGE TO SKIRTING AND CAR PORTS...AND
             POOL CAGES DESTROYED. WIND SPEED ESTIMATED ON TREE
             DAMAGE.

"DEROSA - A strong, surprise storm destroyed seven Citrus County homes and
left dozens of buildings damaged, but injured no one... In Citrus County,
the storms hit late Monday in an area where there are several mobile-home
and recreational-vehicle parks, said Ronda Hemminger Evans, a spokeswoman
for the Citrus County Sheriff's Office. In addition to the homes that were
destroyed, 33 buildings were damaged, she said. The weather service is
investigating whether the damage was caused by a tornado, meteorologists
said Tuesday."
