[STORMREPORTS] Snow Forces Kids into School on Saturday

From: Jesse Ferrell (WeatherMatrix) (ferrell{at}weathermatrix.net)
Date: Tue Feb 17 2004 - 11:22:22 EST

As a side note, here in Central PA we have also had 8 snow days; part of
Spring Break has been cancelled and the kids may be in school far into June.

Here's a similar story from North Carolina:

"The district has scheduled a school day Saturday to make up for time lost
Monday, when classes were canceled after 2 to 4 inches of snow blanketed
the region.

"We've already used up all the ideal days," said Anne D'Annunzio, the
county schools spokeswoman. "Now we're at the point where we're just doing
the best we can."

The county schools have canceled eight days of classes because of weather
this academic year."
