I've been told it rarely rains at 6,200' out here in Wyoming in
Bob from the rainy Rockies

January, but that's exactly what we're getting today - wet snow now
mixing with rain and most likely becoming all rain in another hour or
two. This El Nino is totally wrecking our "winter" out here! While
the east is freezing day and night we're often in the 40's by day and
rarely getting down to 20 at night - lows below zero are more normal -
and until recently the Pacific "storms" we've had have been very
weak non-events. Now it seems that we're finally getting a storm
strong enough to bring some decent precip but it's so warm that most
of it will be rain. Oh, well, we do need the moisture out here so
any form it takes will be welcome.
