Greetings,
The snow has ended, but the winds continue to
howl here in Baiting Hollow, NY. Large clouds of snow
are currently rolling across the open farm fields here
as winds continue to gust to 35mph. The total snow
fall from the storm was 2.5", with 7" drifts. It has
become rather cold outside here to with windchills in
the mid to upper teens as opposed to yesterdays mid
thirties.
While searching the bouy obs this morning I found
some interesting data. A light house on coastal Maine
reported winds of 61mph. with gusts to 69mph. earlier
this morning. Also a bouy reported 35' seas in the
open Atlantic (I can't remember which one it was) as
well as another bouy currently reporting a pressure of
28.64"! I think the one that reported the pressure
was 440011.
