Re: [STORMREPORTS] Problems in NC

We feel for you, Had a series of the same type ice storms back in Feb 1994.
We are rural located,in the woods-went 9 days w/o power. Cooked on our wood
stove, collected water from rainspouts to flush the toilets. The ice came at
night-broke the tops of trees off, then the ice came tinkling down, followed
by the wood. Drove the dogs in the pen crazy, all night long. The treetops
and branches came down and "speared" our neighbors roofs. One neighbor had 9
holes in his roof. Many homes were damaged because of no heat-pipes broke.
Daylight came and you spent most of your day on a chainsaw.
                                                               Good Luck to
you folks,
