Hello,
Well the snow plows have finally gotten the roads
clear, after over 10 hours. The roads were beyond
hellacious earlier this afternoon. The snow tally, as
of 8:20pm. was 7.5" and there is still a few snow
showers in the area. Drifts have reached 33" (drifts
with objects beneath them) and 16.4" for drifts in the
open. There wasn't much in the way of strong wind,
only a peak gust to 27mph., but it was enough to sweep
the snow squals into a blinding frenze earlier. At
times the wind driven heavy snow created visiblities
of less than 200 feet and accumulated faster than
1"/hr! I will post a final snow total on the
snowmatrix tomorrow, after the snow ends.
