Hello group,
Just wanted to let everyone know that we have a storm total of 2 3/4" here in south western Kentucky. Yesterday we got an inch of dry, fluffy snow, then later in the day we got 3/4" of ice from the freezing rain and sleet, and another inch of snow lat night and this morning. (Dec. 4 & 5.)
We lost power about 6:31 PM yesterday, and stayed off until at least 9:30 PM. Trees and power lines are still be weighed down considerably. School has been out for two days in a row now. (I'm a freshman in HS.) Temperatures are not expected to but about 33 or 34 today, so the snow may become slushy and some ice melt, but temperatures are expected to be between 10 an 17 tonight. So anything that melts will freeze again tonight for sure. Buses will definitely have trouble tomorrow if school is in with the low limbs. Maybe school will be out tomorrow. :)
73, Matthew Freeman
