Widespread frsot and subfreezing temperatures blanketed parts of North
Georgia this morning. The higher elevations had freezing temps a few weeks
ago in October, however they were very few and far in between. This morning
though was a bit different. The winds calmed early last night and that
allowed the temps to drop as low as 28 degrees in some mountain locations
and below the freezing mark at several locations across North Georgia. My
station here in Tallulah Falls, Ga recorded a low of 29° with a heavy kill
frost this morning. Tallulah Falls is located in the extreme NE GA.
Unfortunately, my website is down at the current time, so I can not offer
any further information. Please feel free to check the website at anytime,
it should be back up soon.
