June has come and gone, and we received only 2.09" of rain in this
parched area of Northwest South Carolina. While some areas have
received a few pop-up storms, my location in Northern Oconee County
has missed all the action. The lakes and rivers are running lower
and lower, and farmers are watching crops dry up in their fields.
With the hottest part of the summer still ahead, and the autumn
usually dry, this could be a long year for this little corner of the
world!
