Evening All,
Well Fallston got more than it's fair share of rain today.
Between 1:15 and 2:15 this afternoon we received 3.30". In the hour after that, another .92".....and then throw in another .43" since then, bringing a total at 11:25 p.m. to 4.65".
If I hadn't see it with my own eyes, I would have never believed it. We haven't had rain like this since the tail end remnant of Hurricane Floyd. We had severe local flooding, including US RT.1, US RT 146, Rt. 152, and other nearby streets. One local stream I saw rise out of its banks completely. ( Yes this is first hand, since I was trying to get home from three miles away. It took me 50 minutes to drive those 3 miles, I couldn't stop anywhere since visibility was almost zero, and the roads were flooding so quickly you couldn't find a place to pull off safely.)
Our high for the day was 87.1 degrees, low 69.6 degrees. We've had eight days in a row with temps +>90 degrees, including three days with +>100 degrees.
It is still drizzling here at present, a can hear a bit of thunder, although not close. Will update as needed.
